“Death could take away Life, but not our Love.”
The great enemy of all is death, so we fight against it with all our might! It terrifies us, so we are careful, and teach our children to avoid putting themselves in danger. But it is ever lurking; ever present, and ready to strike, in this dangerous world that we live in.
“O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?”
Love is a kind of antidote, the cure. But not our love alone. Rather it is God’s love, for us. God’s love is the one thing that death has no power over. If we embrace that love, the love that God has towards us, through His Son Jesus Christ, we will not die. The death of the body alone cannot affect us. Instead we will live forever with a God Who cannot die, because He is the Source of life.
“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?”
